Distance, does it reduce your handicap?
All we read from the hardware companies is that their latest models give you more distance and better accuracy.
But what helps you reduce your handicap the most?
Your short game is the answer and getting the correct range of Wedges and the correct hang of Putter for your stroke will benefit your game more and help to reduce your handicap.
Most golfers do not realise that there is between 9 & 10% of loft difference between your pitching wedge and sand wedge. This gap needs to be filled with a wedge loft that makes the shot to the green easier and eliminates those thinned and fat shots trying to manufacture a shot with the other wedges.

Should you be concerned about what putter you use?
The correct putter for the way you set up to the ball is also determined by where your eyes drop in relation to the ball. If your eyes are directly over the ball, a face balanced putter is more suitable, if your eyes are inside the ball to target line, you then have to look at different putters as the stroke should not be on a straight line, and the the hang of the putter is important so it will respond to your stroke.
